As someone who is a new Canadian, I get asked a lot about what is the biggest difference between my experiences from the UK and Canada. I alway say the same, a sense of community. 

When we opened, our neighbourhood made a concerted effort to make sure they supported us by not just coming in once a week but sometimes twice or even three times. 

This is why The Gem of the Lakeshore means so much to us !! Thank you all for your vote and for all your support over the past 5 years.

(which means trouser leg in southern Italian dialect)

This folded over pizza is stuffed with ham, fresh wild mushrooms and ricotta cheese

Pizza of the Month… Roasted potatoes, wild boar and truffle oil with fior di latte cheese or Pasta of the Month…Pan cooked scallops, zucchini and cherry tomatoes served with linguine pasta. if you fancy a soup why not try our leek and potato soup. Each portion will be served with homemade croutons and a drizzle of olive oil.

Over the past 1.5 years we have had many great moments at our Bloor Street location. Many of you have shared birthdays, pre-wedding parties and christenings. Unfortunately those moments were not enough for us to sustain our business there. Therefore with immediate effect, we have decided to close our location at Bloor and Dundas.

If you have a future reservation, you will be contacted and offered a table at our Lakeshore location. 

We want to say thank you to all our customers that supported us at Bloor, we truly do appreciate you're support and love.

All the Etobicoke restaurant’s ingredients are locally or Canadian-sourced (except the Parmesan), including water buffalo meat, cheese and all-Canadian meats like prosciutto from Niagara.

The snow would not stop but you, our amazing customers could not be deterred. 100’s turned up to celebrate our 5th birthday with us. From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU for not just last night but for the past amazing 5 years.

We want to make sure as many people as possible get to spend some time with us, so we have allotted 1.5hrs per reservation, which is more than enough time to enjoy your meal and listen to a little music.

Throughout the past 5 years we have featured over 50 different types of Canadian wine. This month as a very special treat, our feature wine is @twosisters_vineyards stone eagle estate reserve.
