Salvation Army

With so many additional issues to deal with this Christmas, families that are struggling need even more of a helping hand. That is why we decided to reconnect with our local Salvation Army in the fall and see what they needed. Since the toy drive drive needed extra help this year, we decided to put a toy collection box and a kettle in the restaurant to see what we could do.

Two days after putting out the toy box, we unfortunately did not have any donations yet. But when I arrived at work the following day, I was surprised to see the box completely full. Two of my staff had very kindly gone out and purchased lots of toys as they “couldn’t see it empty “. Touched by their generosity, 850 decided to mirror their donations and this in turn inspired our amazing customers to go out of their way to add to the ever-increasing pile of toys. This Christmas, our local branch of the Salvation Army will assist over 100 families in making their children smile just a little bit more. The love, care, and effort that Jenn and her team of Volunteers give, is truly inspiring!!

We, at 850, are proud to have helped and wish each and every family a Merry Christmas.
